Broken Sky is a novel series that draws on heavy anime influence, and was written by Chris Wooding between the years 1999 and 2001. It contains 9 volumes in its widely known form, but has been released in various formats. The story focuses on the twin worlds of The Dominions and Kirin Taq, which are widely seen as parallel universes, and deals with issues of race relations, resistance movements and the coming of age of its main characters, Ryushi and Kia.
I just love this novel series but I had a really hard time to get all volumes, it took me a while. I really recommend it to everyone.
