What is your opinion about Mayu shinjou?....do you know her works?.... :bounce:

My opinion about Mayu Shinjo?? Errr, I think she's a little freak...with all her smutty mangas. It's almost like a sex-a-holic kissing and telling. lol

I love her work!!! My favorite would be "Kaikan Phrase"!!!! Sakuya all the way!!!!!!
All her other characters are descendants of his. lol!!! I love her work...can never get enough. I think her latest is "Midnight Children". I've only read one chapter and it seems interesting though not enough to tell.

I really like Mayu Shinjo because she was one of my first mangaka's that I seriously followed (I made sure I read ALL her stuff). I am kinda "devoted" to her lol.

Mayu Shinjo? Of course everyone who loves smut mangas will know, and that includes me! I love smut mangas and her work is outstanding! All the characters are beautifully drawn. Absolutely love her works. :D

Well, I started of with Kaikan Phrase and I liked it very much. Liked the anime better though...
But when I began reading more of her manga I realized all her story-lines are more or less the same - a naive cute girl and a tough narcissistic egoistic but deep down sweet guy (also hot and very famous/infamous). After a while it gets boring :/

she is one of my fav author. love all her works . bishies everywhere. her earlier work was more smutty than the current one. i just hope she doesn't go into yaoi or even gender bender.

I like her mangas, although it is very smutty sometimes. The male characters are well drawn, the stories aren't very complicated :( too bad...
I like Haou Airen, Love Celeb, some oneshots...

Shinjo Mayu was the first shoujo mangaka I became addictive to when I started reading mangas. I was attracted to the smut factor. Then very quickly, I became annoyed with her weak heroines and abusive heroes. I rediscovered her with her latest series after she quitted her former publisher. If you read now her stories after that time, it's like a new fresh air. I loke a lot what she's drawing now, even though there's so very few smut. But her heroes are now very lovable and heur girls have some backbone. Plus her art has become even more prettier. You can feel that she really draws now what she likes, unlike in the past where all her storylines were the same and the couples were always with a weak girl and macho abusive guy.

To her I say not my style. The woman is seen more as a sexual object in her Mature-shojo. In these works, I feel, "I love you because I want you". That's why I prefer TOMU OHMI because with her it's "Because I love you all we can overcome together". And the woman is seen as a flower.
